In art lessons we have looked at the work of Peter Thorpe, a space artist.

Here is a sample of our work done in the same style using paint and collage techniques.

Autobiographies

This term Owls and Otters have written autobiographies of their lives so far.

There were some amazing pieces of work. The children have certainly had some interesting and varied experience in their first 10 or 11 years.

In English pupils shared their stories and found a few facts about people that they didn't know!

Read All About It!

There were some unusual visitors at Roydon Primary School yesterday. A mysterious UFO landed on the school field and aliens appeared!  Although they couldn't speak English they spent a day touring the school.

Aliens attack Roydon!

Mr Santy's English class walked in on an alien invasion last week. Footprints, slime, rocks and secret messages were all investigated. All the children then had to write a newspaper report.

Christmas Stories

Owls and Otters have been writing Christmas stories over the last 2 weeks.  This afternoon we went round the school and read them to small groups of children.  Pupils from all classes loved listening to different dilemmas that Father Christmas has had to cope with and Year 5 and 6 enjoyed having an appreciative audience.
